To all CCGOP Precinct Chairs:
CCGOP Top Brass - Unethical Acts
Acts by Stephen Kallas, CCGOP leadership (including our Chairman) and likely elected officials are threatening the election integrity of our CCGOP. Many of you may or may not be aware of what has been going on, but I feel obligated to give my thoughts. Please hear me out as this is a serious matter.
Kallas states that he has changed his residency to his brother-in-law’s house in JP 4 (changes address on drivers license and voter ID data) although he does not reside there as he continues to reside in JP 1 where his wife and children reside. Legally this may work, but it goes against moral and ethical standards. Such tricksters have done this before (we all remember the Brent Hogenbuch, former Denton County GOP Chairman, who ran and successfully won the Texas SD 30 race – article link below). Hogenbuch basically did the same thing as Kallas and got away with it. And the Denton County GOP was not pleased – they are still not happy with it – but at least they stood up. Of course, top brass (Abbott, Patrick, Springer) all endorsed Hogenbuch – comparable situation here. Anything to get “their man” into office.
The problem is intentional dishonesty always leaves a bad taste. It is even worse when one does this to his own folks (fellow Republicans). This goes directly against the principles which Republicans stand. It is often called betrayal. And yes, our CCGOP Chairman, Byron Henry, sees nothing wrong with this and he (Henry) has known about Kallas’ mischief since December 8 when he (Henry) was presented with the evidentiary documents many of you received via a February 2 e-mail from Vincent Venegoni (attached above). I met with Byron on January 29 for 3.5 hours urging him to encourage Kallas to step away from the JP 4 race and that he (Henry) should resign his CCGOP Chair due to his evasiveness and “going along” with Kallas’ unconscionable acts. He said he would take my comments under consideration. Based upon our February EC meeting and no response to date that I am aware of, I would bet my January 29 meeting concerns will prove non-persuasive.
CCGOP Chairs, we cannot stand idle when our leadership (or any PC for that matter) commits intentional unethical acts. One is not prosecuted for cheating on a company’s expense reimbursement form, but it normally costs one their job - as it should. However, cheat on your expense reimbursement form because others do it and you see nothing wrong with it - that is a big deal. Based upon my business experiences one would be relieved from their duties immediately.
Such above actions are not merely mistakes but intentional mistakes. We either stand for principle wanting truth, or we honor crookedness. I choose truth. Everybody makes honest and ignorant mistakes and grace abounds; learn from it and move on – even though it has consequences! Intentional mistakes – need I say more?
Kallas needs to officially and publicly pull away from the JP 4 race and both he and Henry need to resign immediately.
Evil rules when good people do nothing.
