Canright's Thoughts on Local Affairs: April 2026

Dear Friends,

I need to bring to your attention how Commissioner Darrell Hale has lied to us in a way that can be investigated and his statement proven beyond doubt to be false. Here is a snapshot of a Facebook post he made in the CollinGOP - Discussion Group Facebook last month before the January 12 Commissioners Court meeting..

Commissioner Hale says that Judge Vincent Venegoni was going to appear before the Commissioners Court and ask for money. Then Mr. Hale tells us that the documents are available for us to read. I did read them all and Mr. Hale's statement was actually contradicted by the data. From the lawsuit we see this statement:

So the Lawsuit clearly says money is not being requested, proving Mr. Hale's statement false. Nowhere in any of the PDF files is there a request to have legal fees for Mr. Mosser paid by Collin County. At the end of this email I will include links to all the documents for this case that were posted online by the Commissioners Court. Mr. Hale has done us an enormous favor by lying in such a manner that with a little effort, reading all the PDF documents, you can see that Mr. Hale beyond a doubt lied to us. This is a gift. We normally are left thinking that we have been lied to, but in this case we actually know that it is a fact that we have been lied to.

When I wrote in the "The Roles, Goals, and Responsibilities of Precinct Chairs" (https://voteforcanright.blogspot.com/2026/01/the-roles-goals-and-responsibilities-of.html) that we need discernment, that we need to know when we are being lied to (D1 in the outline) I hoped that you would find evidence of politicians lying to you so you could become more discerning. Every time we know that we are being lied to we get better at spotting the lies. At the Commissioners Court meeting that day I told them that I did not see the facts supporting their claims. Why the lies?

Commissioner Hale is a West Point graduate. The West Point Honor Code states, "A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do." So why is Commissioner Hale lying to us, bringing disgrace to his association with West Point? I think it is connected to Stephen Kallas running against Judge Venegoni for JP4. I think Mr. Kallas has friends in the GOP that want to help him find steady employment, a Justice of the Peace position. I think that the same way that King David loved Absalom so much that he let Absalom get away with murder (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absalom), so Mr. Kallas's friends within the GOP are ignoring the lawbreaking and oathbreaking (filing for JP4 while living in JP1) by Mr. Kallas out of love. I call this the Absalom Syndrome.

Now many of Mr. Kallas's friends are spreading lies in an effort to help Mr. Kallas find steady employment as a Justice of the Peace. What started as a simple lie about living in the JP4 precinct has turned into an avalanche of lies to help Mr. Kallas get elected. This spreading of lies within the CC GOP I call the Kallas Contagion: it is like a spreading disease.

It is because it is important for you to know when you are being lied to that I mention this to you.
